Now that we are fast approaching THE time frame that the gulf coast is MOST LIKELY (based on climatology) to have a snow event, I wanted to share something very intriguing!
There are STRONG signals that NEXT WEEK (Feb. 7th -14th) will be the MOST LIKELY time frame for snow for the gulf coast not only from some of the latest models, but also based on climatology. I say this because of what has happened during the STRONG El Niño years in the past.
In (1957-58) snow in New Orleans Feb. 12th!! In (1972-73) also snow in New Orleans Feb. 9th!!
These are two of the most referenced years when comparing this winter and they both produced snow in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast region!!!!!
I feel real confident about a snow event during this time frame! There are just too many things in our favor!
