Well last winter I can prob count on one hand the number of times I even had to put on a long sleeve shirt or grab a light weight jacket. Not a cold weather fan but like the season to feel like the season at least.
Sky what is your thoughts on the upcoming winter? Anybody else? With the knowledge of people in this forum would love to see the thoughts of the upcoming winter?
I keep hearing of a pattern change around thanksgiving going into December. I hope so as I love a cold December.
Well, as much as I'd love a very cold winter, personally I'm not seeing it. The ice content up in the Arctic is very low. In September, it was the 4th lowest in recorded history. Since then, it has been increasing in a rapid rate, but it's still very, very low.
I think we're going to have our usual shots of shallow, arctic air, but I just don't see anything out of the ordinary for us this winter. In about two weeks, maybe we'll see a nice dip in the jet stream to bring some of that Canadian air south.
