St James authorities reporting tornado damage in the Paulina/Convent area. Some homes destroyed, along with other damages throughout the affected area. Deputies out doing assessments and welfare checks.
Primary area affected is south of HWY 3125 & along LA 642.
Deputies reporting portions of HWY 642 impassable due to high water.
HWY 642 @ St Joseph St CLOSED due to large tree across the road way
After looking at long range animation, I want to say this area circled is the same micro mesocyclone that moved through Coushatta then Paulina then Paradis and then had 65mph winds offshore.

I think that you are correct here. I'm just South of Fort Polk and we had a severe thunderstorm as this "bow" passed through Coushatta. I wonder how much damage this bow caused as it swept through the state?
Permit me this small lapse into human emotion. I hate Hurricanes and Tornadoes. Live long and prosper.
