its getting closer wind picks up and gust pretty good here and there nothing overly bad yet line is coming into port barre but im on the far side and out of town a good ways. im only about 5 miles outside of krotz springs. about where hwy 71 and hwy 190 meet. raining hard and steady
As most times, hyped forecasted potential severe wx events turn out to be just a slight risk, glad to see that tornadic super cells ahead of the squall line never materialized as the squall line moved in faster than forecasted.

There was a possible tornado just north of Bogalusa. People on a local facebook page are saying it looked pretty bad. WWL says 3 people were injured. There is a sawmill in the area and I'm hearing a lot of lumber was tossed around. Power is out in some areas.
Sometimes I wonder who I was before the lightning struck and I was no more.
So looking at a few radar snapshots of the line moving through EBR, it looks like I threaded the needle, with a small break in the worst of the weather more or less along the 190/I12 corridor in eastern BR. We didnt really get anything in Central apart from some heavy rain and fairly consistent thunder.
Still got woken up at 345 not from the weather, but my wife's phone going off.
