WINDS IN EXCESS OF 40 MPH AND PEA SIZE HAIL ARE POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM.
LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE... BATON ROUGE, BAKER, MERRYDALE, ERWINVILLE, BROWNFIELDS, GREENWELL SPRING AND BATON ROUGE AIRPORT.
TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IS ALSO OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM, AND MAY CAUSE LOCALIZED FLOODING. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE THROUGH FLOODED ROADWAYS.

The title of this thread is a little misleading. I thought the enhanced risk was upgraded to a high risk for a second.
It's not enhanced yet. It's just 30% on Day 4. Don't do categories until Day 3.
Also, hell of a show from this MCS tonight. Wasn't expecting the storms tonight to have quite this much of a kick.
Then perhaps the local Mets should abide by that. He sure referred to it as an enhanced risk on the evening broadcast. It’s why the “Gulfcoast Highest Threat From SPC” part threw me off for a second.

Man it was a lot of work and money after Katrina but I have roll down shutters on every opening of the house. Just dropped them down before I go to bed. Bow echo and straight line winds? Cells were supposed to weaken upon approach to NOLA. We’ll see shortly.

Not looking outside but the wind is blowing hard in the city. Can hear the tree outside my window blowing about but no lightn....nevermind. Certainly not the rager the Northshore got but almost forgot what a thunderstorm sounded like in the past couple of months.

It was pretty intense in north Covington. But, as I tell my wife, if the trash can is still upright...then the wind wasn't that bad
