If that center location from 1pm is accurate looks like the storm is moving more to the north than west. Given the HWRF model which is a reliable hurricane model not the mention the HMON, it is my opinion that the projected path will be moved eastward. I think a landfall in SW LA is in play.

Just looked at that. I agree with you but going to give it a little while longer to see if it continues. The vast majority of convection is off to the E though some storms are firing around the center now. It’s getting in a good location to begin some possible intensity uptick. True center location right now could have big ramifications down the road if it’s off even a little down there. Interesting evening with it I think.
