If I owned Baskins & Robbins, I would feature a special at all stores in a storms path. It would be a double scoop for the price of a single, but it would be two different flavors of the largest in inventory. Since this would be the servers decision........why of course, it would be called ........................"The Cone of Uncertainity"

I’ll check with SouthPort Hall as a possible venue. It’s a great place on River Road at the Jefferson / Orleans parish line. About a mile past Ochsner main campus. We would be in there outdoor area. Rivershack is good to and they have great food plus an outside area also. I’m open to suggestion but I think outdoor with the ability to purchase food and drink is the way to go. Rivershack allows for in or outdoor but outside at Southport and no food unless they or someone were to cater. We need to decide on the weekend day or time and I’m sure football will be a consideration. My gut tells me a Saturday afternoon or evening or maybe a Sunday afternoon. I have a relationship with both places as Harpman and I have played music for 25 years at both. My choice is Rivershack because of food. Again, they have a covered area. I’ll see about group specials and if kids are allowed outside which I think they are. Rivershack is on River Road at Shrewsbury. Under 10 minutes from I10 and Causeway and very easy to get there. Please comment and help pick a weekend.

Definitely a fan of Southport Hall. Great food and had several nights belly up to the bar. But then again, I’m an Old Jefferson rat... and still live close ;)

Have a call into Southport Hall. My thinking is still Rivershack as Southport has turned into more of a concert and large reception venue. We’ll see. To me, last half of October is the target time as it is our driest month. November may be too cold. Thoughts?
