The good news is that Our Empress of the Universe, aka LaToya the Destroya, is finally going allow bars to start serving go-cups, only again. That is the ones that didn't close permanently. Sorry, have many friends devastated in the hospitality and music industry. /rant off

Glad that we will not have to worry about this one - had our share.
Not a professional forecast by any means and should not be viewed as such - just my opinion. In Cancun flying home to Nola through Miami today. We’ve been here all week and up until yesterday we’ve hardly had any rain. We’ve probably had 6” since last night here now. Our flight from Cancun to Miami is at 3 pm. Of course we’ve had beautiful weather all week and as soon as it’s time to fly home a TS seeks us out!
I know it’ll be raining the rest of the day as the local forecast shows 100% rain chance each hour here through this afternoon but wondering what would cause them to delay the flight? I’d imagine if there’s sustained winds of 35+ mph they won’t attempt to leave. From the current track I’m thinking that’s going to be a possibility here from this afternoon thru this evening and might not leave til Sunday now. Nothing worse than being stuck in an airport!
eta/ not reassuring at all that I just did the Z to CST time zone conversion and see this mornings runs show the COC will be right to the south of us around the time we’re supposed to leave!

I always visit this site for updates when we have a storm headed our way at home. Think this is the first time ever I’ve had to worry about a TS hitting us while being away from home! With it not being “our storm” back at home I’m not getting those regular Zack Fradella updates here and on the tv that I’m used to and it’s making me anxious!

A flight this afternoon out of Cancun might be a struggle. This is most likely Hurricane Gamma soon and will probably bring the right eye wall right over you.
