I thought I’d be able to beat the system from Alexandria back to NOLA but just checked into hotel off Bluebonnet. Too windy with big rigs on either side of you. No rain but windy. Wasn’t fun on the bridge!

* At 329 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Lettsworth, or near Simmesport, moving northeast
at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree

Just my very amateur opinion so take it with a grain of salt, but it looks like the storms moving into South/ southeastern Louisiana are starting to take the shape of a squall line more than being discrete cells.

I'd almost rather that so people at least have a better idea when to expect the rougher weather.....those discrete cells that pop up ahead happen fast
