IMO

South of Cuba has the best low level convergence and upper level divergence, hence the deeper convection. Also, the best mid level vorticity is just along the southern coast of Cuba.

Without having visible satellite available right now, it's almost impossible to tell if there's anything left of Fred's old center.

I've been checking in here from time to time checking the latest on Fred. A few days ago, I was reading or hearing that this was going to be a Miami problem. Then it changed to Panama City to Pensacola. Now its looking to me like Pascagoula to Destin. I'm just wondering whats going to stop it from getting closer to NOLA. Please correct me if I am wrong with my observations.

...very much so!! Yesterday morning when I got up a saw the satellite imagine I knew SE LA was going to be in the conversation for a possible landfall....
