Gris.....Can that Predator 8750 be connected to the house panel (safely) and if so how much could it run? Looking to run a couple of outlets for window ac's, house refrigerator and possibly an outlet for tv. Anything else would be lagniappe but if so let me know how much more you think we could run with that predator.
Also, while you and I haven't always agreed, so glad you're back.
If it’s 8750, it’s probably 8750 starting watts right? Which means it’s probably around 7,000 running watts - keep that in mind. I have an 8,000 running watts generac and for Ida we used it to run the fridge/freezer, all lights, security cameras, security system, an electric burner to cook on, a tv, and one window unit mostly at the same time. Also each day we turned off the window unit and fridge/freezer to run the water heater for 45 minutes or so to take a hot shower. Only thing I had trouble with was getting the washing machine started. The electronics came on but it never kicked on and started filling up for some reason.
Anyone know of a mobile generator tech? We have a gas and a trifuel that won't start.
Try Geecks on Jeff hwy in Harahan. If the fuel is good and the carburetor is not gummed up then it may be the valves. We’ve found start issues with a lot of the portables with over 300 or so hours. The valve lash may need adjustment. Easy or let Geecks check it.
