Deep South Winter Storm Jan 15th-16th

Getting some flakes up here in central MS. A little drizzle, but more snow than liquid at this point.

My forecast low here tonight was 34. I’m at 33 right now.

We need nerd help lol! Harp n me on a 10 minute gig break. Both phones on radar n the forum. Just finished the set with "Hotlegs". Long night ahead but the weather is giving some energy.

Radar scope shows snow in Madisonville and north of Covington but nothing coming down in Madisonville but I don’t know enough science of what the radar is seeing, just my eyes lol

Sleet! And it’s coming down hard and sticking.

Edit: It appears to be a ton of graupel now that I’ve actually been outside.

So I too see either small flurries or specks of "moisture". Im in Reserve, LA and wasn't expecting it as their's not much moisture return on radar. Nonetheless took my dog out to potty and sure enough its floating around rather quickly due to wind but its obvious enough to see. I'm at 35F and took a short video clip and will post here asap. I was going to make an Mping report but it's not steady enough to be considered "snow" and flurries are not listed. Anyway just wanted to share.

Randy must be close to the winter storm warning area for heavy snow just north and east of metro Jackson MS.

I hope he is in the fun instead of a few miles west of it. That would be really frustrating
