* Tornado Warning for... Southeastern Tangipahoa Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Northwestern St. Tammany Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
* Until 1130 AM CST
* At 1054 AM CST, a confirmed large and destructive tornado was observed near Madisonville, or 10 miles southwest of Covington, moving east at 35 mph.
TORNADO EMERGENCY for Madisonville...Covington...and Abita Springs. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. TAKE COVER NOW!
HAZARD...Deadly tornado.

IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris may be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes, businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete destruction is possible.

I think it is safe to safe if you live on the Northshore and the South Shore: metro area, Kenner on east please stay alert. Tornado warnings are coming in quickly for these areas.

If you are in this area, there is debris in the that area and to take shelter now. There is a Tornado Emergency, with NWS saying "Catastrophic"

* At 1059 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Geismer, or near Donaldsonville, moving east at 35 mph.
