THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS.
.DAY ONE...TONIGHT
PATCHY SEA FOG IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE BAYS AND NEAR
THE UPPER TEXAS COAST BEGINNING THIS EVENING. THE FOG IS NOT
EXPECTED TO BECOME DENSE. VISIBILITIES ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE
BETWEEN 2 AND 6 MILES AND MAY OCCASIONALLY FALL BELOW 1 NAUTICAL
MILE.
.DAY TWO...TUESDAY THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT
A STRONG UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE AND ASSOCIATED PACIFIC COLD FRONT
WILL CROSS THE AREA LATE TUESDAY. SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP BEGINNING TUESDAY AFTERNOON...EVOLVING INTO A
SQUALL LINE THAT WILL AFFECT PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS LATE TUESDAY
NIGHT. DUE TO STRONG SHEAR IN THE LOW LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE THE
POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR SOME OF THE STORMS TO BECOME SEVERE. THE
PRIMARY RISK AREA WILL BE TO THE NORTH OF A LINE FROM BRENHAM TO
HOUSTON TO LIBERTY. THE PRIMARY SEVERE WEATHER THREATS WILL BE
DAMAGING WINDS AND HAIL...WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR ISOLATED
TORNADOES. A STRONG CAPPING INVERSION WILL PROBABLY LIMIT THE
SOUTHERN EXTENT OF THE SQUALL LINE.
A TIGHT PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL RESULT IN GUSTY SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST
WINDS TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND WEDNESDAY. A WIND ADVISORY MAY BE
REQUIRED TUESDAY FOR PARTS OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS.
.DAY THREE...WEDNESDAY
THE COMBINATION OF MILD TEMPERATURES...MUCH DRIER CONDITIONS AND
GUSTY WINDS WILL RESULT IN AN ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER THREAT.
HUMIDITY LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO DROP TO THE 15 TO 25 PERCENT RANGE
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON WITH WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS OF 15 MPH.
