Earlier today, I read a post in the Severe WX Section in which I felt that either myself or my character was under fire and were somewhat being attacked. I want to take the time out now and explain a few things, even though I feel I should not have to justify myself, but I will.
I have never once since I joined GCWX, said I was a Meteorologist, nor did I ever claim to be a professional, nor a Meteorology Student. I am, however, a weather enthusiast and fanatic and have always been fascinated by the weather, no matter how tranquil or dangerous it can be.
Other forum members on here know about my gut "instincts" if you will and they know the purpose of me posting them as I have done time and time again in the past. Would someone please enlighten me to as to what I did wrong and why the attack today so maybe it is not repeated again?
I hold quite a bit of stock in my instincts, gut and otherwise. My instincts as a whole as a matter of fact, have NEVER YET steered me wrong. Some prime examples are as follows for those who are truly interested:
1.) You can ask anyone who knows me on a personal level and anyone I worked with at the time about what I am about to state, for its a fact. The whole entire weekend before 9/11 happened, I did not sleep at all! The day before 9/11 happened, I hardly ate anything and I cried for most of the day, for I felt something severely bad was about to happen and a multitude of people were going to be hurt or worse. The day it happened, everyone that I talked to about it prior, was like it is ashame to say but you are right Steph.
2.) On a strong gut instinct I had several years ago, I saved my own brother's life. I told him one day not to go to work, and he did not and stayed home. Well, his work crew was working on an elevator shaft that week and that day I told him to stay home, was the day that it was his turn to work the shaft, totally not known by me at the time I told him. Well that day that elevator shaft did a rapid 40 foot drop to the bottom due to a freak accident, and it was the time that my brother would have initially got on the shaft that particular day.
3.) One of the Severe Weather Outbreaks we had not too long ago, I had a very bad feeling, and you know what, my Mother could have gotten killed in her Mississippi home. Luckily she did not get killed, but she was basically moderately injured from head to toe due to Storm Damage of her home.
4.) I went with one of my ex inlaws to the daycare where my niece was attending to go pick my niece up and right away I got the most uneasy feeling in the world. I told my ex sister in law to remove my niece out of that daycare IMMEDIATELY for I felt something wasn't right. Well 2 weeks later, I am on the Internet on the Sex Offenders Listing to check on something for someone else, and low and behold 2 of the daycare employees had their mugshots on that site.
5.) On another forum site, I had went with my gut of the final outcome of the BCS Championship Game with LSU and OSU. I posted up my prediction in the LSU Thread on that site well over a month BEFORE the game was actually PLAYED. T-Man and mikearch can very well vouch for me on this one. I got the EXACT SCORE to the T! That post was never edited, modified, or changed in any way shape or form.
The way I feel about this, is yes I know that this is a forum and there can and will be debating, but I feel like I was singled out by a certain individual earlier and I in advance apologize to the board as a whole, but the way I feel, if you do not agree or like what someone has to say in a post of their's be mature, grown up, and "professional" about it via PMl to a Moderator or and Administrator or have the Kahunas to PM that person directly. There should not be any "attacks" made publicly on this board, whether it be a minor or severe attack and whether or not the person giving or receiving the attack is a fresh new member or a senior member. I have never had a problem or a concern about anything to do with this board until today.
Also, one last piece of factual information, my instincts, "gut" or otherwise have been 99.9 % accurate so far and never has failed me yet. If there is a problem about me posting my instincts, "gut" or otherwise on this board about anything, whether it has to do with the weather or a football game, or about something personal, then I feel a Administrator or a Moderator should tell me and the situation as it is and as it was will be rectified. Until then, if you do not like someone's postings, then do not read them or tell them or a Moderator or an Administrator via PM.
Once again I do humbly apologize to the board as a whole and I am so very sorry it has come to this.
