Dallas area goes from low 80's today to possible sleet and freezing rain Wednesday.
Ive always been fastinated by exteme temperature changes. The frontal ones interest me most...from warm to cold. Many of the cold to warm are produced by other phenomena like Chinook winds and collapsed temperature inversions in mountain valley areas.
If you look at the visible satellite loop you cans see the lower north-south oriented clouds are developing and staying in the same 'lanes'.
I was going to post the link but can't.
This is the second time this site won't let me post a link. The paste won't work here but still works everywhere else from my phone.
Anyone else having mobile phone issues like this?
I've been able to paste links on the mobile version when out and about. I'd usually upload to IMGBB or IMGUR, and copy one of their links to paste here.

First time I haven't been able to....I've never had a problem.....when I go to paste nothing happens....only here. I've successfully pasted from the same clipboard today elsewhere.

Kind of enjoying reading the TX forum as the shallow cold air busts even the very short term forecasts.
What a tough job being a MET around Arctic fronts. Knowing models don't handle it well and drastically changing the forecast is tough to do in front of the public
Watching the cold and developing winter weather in TX is like falling in love with an actress in a movie......
You know it will never really be about you......
But yet during hurricane season some on the Tx forum were acting upset that the canes kept coming for us and not them. Until they see once the excitement has passed with having to do repairs 6 months later and still lots to do. Some in Dallas and Ok, were complaining about not getting snow. But they get it every winter. No big deal to go a few weeks without. Some of us on the gulf coast esp the south shore are lucky to see a single flake every 10 years

Looks like the ice event in Texas hasn't quite played out as far as spread and amounts. Still hundreds of accidents in the dallas area but probably they are overall thankful.
