Southern Beauregard Parish in southwestern Louisiana...
Acadia Parish in southwestern Louisiana...
Calcasieu Parish in southwestern Louisiana...
Northern Vermilion Parish in southwestern Louisiana...
Southern Allen Parish in southwestern Louisiana...
Iberia Parish in south central Louisiana...
Jefferson Davis Parish in southwestern Louisiana...
Southwestern Evangeline Parish in central Louisiana...

* Until 815 AM CDT Thursday
* At 1115 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated most of the heavy rain had
moved south of the flood area. However...the warned areas have
seen radar estimated rainfall amounts and recorded rain gauge
amounts of 6 to 12 inches today creating dangerous night time
flooding conditions. The flood warning will continue into Thursday
morning until the flood waters recede.
* Some locations that are experiencing flooding include...
Lafayette, Lake Charles, New Iberia, Sulphur, Crowley, Morgan City,
Abbeville, Catahoula, Eunice, Jennings, Scott, Breaux Bridge,
Rayne, Franklin, Carencro, St. Martinville, Patterson, Jeanerette,
Kaplan and Westlake.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
