I just read that there was a possible “sting jet” developing which could bring very destructive winds to SW Ireland if it holds together. This phenomenon had previously occurred exactly 30 years ago, bringing lots of wind destruction in Britain and France. i have a Liberal Arts degree so had trouble understanding the dynamics, but don’t need to be a scientist to understand that the results aren’t good! Hope that they won’t have too much damage. That system is sure moving quickly!

Currently in Edinburgh, Scotland for a semester abroad. Been getting gusts into the 30's in the past few hours, should continue to increase through early morning. Have a meteorology lab at 10:00am local time tomorrow, should get some good observations then!
