Yes, that would be correct. But, as I write this the center seems to be jumping all over the place, the best convection is now west of where the apparent MLC was. It's reforming in different locations, so again, we just have to watch it all of the way in. We're nowcasting at this point. Vermillion Bay still appears to be the target for landfall.

That being said, and as the NHC has eluded to, the point of landfall is not as important as where the training sets up. Look at what's going at the MS/AL border, there's a ton of rain getting ready to fall there over the next few hours and they're well detached from the forecasted point of landfall.

Just waking up, I had a long day at work yesterday.
Does anybody know why there has been no recon flights into the storm lately? The last two barely did a pass or two through the center, that was over 6 hrs ago. Usually there are doing a lot of flights into it before landfall. As if they just stopped the last two all of the sudden.
