Not so sure a cruise can’t make it out of N’awlins on Thursday. Just have to make it a bit off of the mouth of the river and things should be decent from the central gulf on. So far this isn’t a large storm. Issue could also be coming back if it were to hang around.

I just ran a sped up vis animation sat . If you zoom into the AL, GA, FL point where they come together I can see a low level circulation. The tiny white specs (low level cumulus) are rotating around that point. Zoom with high speed animation. Already firing off towers over land on the South side. I think this is potentially the goods when it emerges.

I noticed that as well. On GREarth, with the 850mb plots turned on, they match the circulating cumulus perfectly.
