Streets flooded around our place in Gentilly (a few blocks South of the new Holy Cross high school).
For a few minutes the wind really picked up, and there was a brief "whistling" wind. Could that have been that area of rotation passing by?

I don't think the News Media & Weather departments expected to be as busy as they are, so soon. Watching all the local news media online, TV & friends videos. Seems like a mess throughout the New Orleans area already.

⚡️ ATTENTION ⚡️ We will have sand bags out this morning at the Lockport Town Shed !! The Town crew has and will be checking all ditches , catch basins and culverts to make sure water can flow !! I’m asking everyone with any loose items in their yard to make sure they tie down or pick up !! I will be and stay in contact with Mr Andrew Griffin. He is our new parish pump operator for the town of Lockport !! I also will be out there riding threw town and at office as much as possible day and night in case anyone needs !! Also the Town crew will be on standby if needed !!

I have noticed that the 06Z GFS has initialized the position of 92L north and west of the actual position. I am also still not buying that track that the GFS is showing first it stops and meanders the turns almost straight N then NE.
