Dorian looks as though it is making a run at Cat 5. Maybe that is a factor in why the forecast models shifted away from Florida. As I understand it a stronger storm will want to go poleward. If the models are correct and this turns away from the continental US this is great news. However, the folks in the Bahamas look to take a huge hit from a beast.

BTW he continues to intensify.

Levi Cowan's video at Tropical Tidbits is excellent, discusses all the possibilities in a straightforward, plain manner (for non mets like me lol) And there are many with this storm. A forecasting nightmare!

Emergency managers definitely losing sleep over this one.
