Last I looked, before Mobile radar went out, I saw about 90knts over Mobile. That's over 100mph and you were probably seeing 80 mph with 100 mph gusts in squalls.

Riding out a hurricane where you have no stake is a thrill ride. Riding out a hurricane and watching everything you worked for be destroyed is quite different.
