I figured I’d be done with this forum by now, but 2020 keeps 2020ing. So for anyone who saw the thing I wrote in the other alphabet storm thread that knocked my power out, the cat survived and I just kidnapped him and he is awaiting a vet appointment while isolated in our bedroom.
I’m really just hear to say I’m over this season. I’m fatigued, I can only imagine how our Mets feel.

Omg. I miss that. What happened????
Just a semi-feral cat that had been following our dog and ourselves around on walks. We tied a kennel to our patio for him to take shelter in, but it remained empty until the eye came through. Along with our transplant neighbors walking around, the cat showed up outside so we lured him and anther cat on to the patio to ride out the last 20 minutes or so. The damn kennel was solid, but not even a canal rat used it. Now he’s sitting on my nightstand only sort of terrified.
I made that bet on October 31st - look back on the thread
Not a bad bet. Overall steering pattern is still the same. Almost a summer like high off to the E and a lack of progressive fronts. Will ETA or what’s left drift N or be drawn NW as a front finally grabs it? I quit lol!
At the time I was being facetious. But its 2020

So, I've been called an "A-hole" on several FB pages today so I thought I'd come here and see what sort of s##t I can start.
What time does contra flow start ? Zack, what does this mean for MY neighborhood ? I have a flight out from MSY next Monday to go visit my dying Aunt in Alaska, should I cancel my flight ? My maw maw live on Transcontinental 3 houses off the West Metairie canal, should she evacuate ? Zack ? Your thoughts ? Zack, answer me ! I'm out of squirt cheese what should I do ?
By the way, I enjoyed the EYE last week and stood outside for 2 sides of the eyewall but the rocks flying off the roof of the old folks home chased me inside as it broke windows on about 30 cars.
If I owned Baskins & Robbins, I would feature a special at all stores in a storms path. It would be a double scoop for the price of a single, but it would be two different flavors of the largest in inventory. Since this would be the servers decision........why of course, it would be called ........................"The Cone of Uncertainity"

You know we're here year round right? Just not quite as busy. But we do follow potential winter storms and severe weather as well
I’ve been battling COVID since 10/29 and have not the energy nor the motivation to even bat an eye at this trickery. Go away Hurricane Season 2020.
Care to share what type of environment you likely cought it in?
It’s pretty widespread in my area, so I’m just going to say “community spread” since we cannot 100% pinpoint, although we do have our suspicions. Thankfully, my husband and daughter never showed any symptoms. It’s been a rough two weeks, but the worst is behind me. Thank you all for your sweet comments and well wishes.
Now, back to the season! And Winter!

Okay, I have a question in regards to what to expect. I am going to be working on board a container ship south of the Louisiana Coast for the next 4 days. I know Eta will not be a concern for SELA, but wondering what kind of conditions to expect out in the gulf between the mouth of the river and Grand Isle.
