Last appendage of the storm sitting over me. Rain continues quick cycling on and off. Now 1.7 inches. Didn’t expect this tonight at all.
This came out of nowhere it seems. Once it was over, then I heard the flash flood warning come over my phone. Better late than never I guess but I had to laugh when I finally got the warning as my backyard vegetable garden had already flooded, along with most of my backyard, and the streets were flooding as well.

I think I heard Shelby Latino mention something to the effect that there may be another opportunity for some more severe weather next week. I also noticed she upped the rain chances for the latter part of the work week next week!
Yea, possibly another chance at severe weather next week. You can see here, the GFS has the storm center on a more southerly track so that would increase the chance closer to the coast. Far far away, but the middle of next week is at least looking at a chance for heavy rain and possibly some strong to severe storms.

Another amazing visible satellite loop this morning.
I've been marveling at the last few days to see the different cloud types and movements along the gulf coast and gulf waters.....to me I don't remember seeing this post front before.....usually the low to our north and northeast pulls out and brings the circulation and clouds with it.....it's cool.
