CENTRAL OKALOOSA COUNTY...

At 612 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 7 miles southeast of Crestview, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
east central Okaloosa County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

This cluster of thunderstorms is capable of producing tornadoes and
widespread significant wind damage. Do not wait to see or hear the

Thought it was just my street. Continuous rain, downpours at times. Lightning was continuous. Seems to have all slacked for the moment but more coming. Sweet I heard small hail a while ago. Estelle getting it again as we did couple days ago.

I'll say this for Zack, he has really become quite the seasoned broadcast meteorologist. There is absolutely no hesitation throughout the storm broadcast, certainly no dead air, he is moving along from one graphic to the next with ease, good combination of eye focus on the graphics alternating with eye focus on the camera, really feels like you're hearing all this from a friend who has a passion and expertise for meteorology. To me, that's not easy to do when you're conducting a severe weather broadcast in a monitoring-of-the-present-state kind of format, as I'm sure you must ad-lib quite a bit, but the transitions are very smooth. I'm impressed.

I agree! I tweeted him about the hail in Cut Off and he was right on it. I’m just sorry I couldn’t get photo proof because of the lighting.

Well I slept through it all, glad I didn't wake up in a tree. Right now here in Washington Parish the rain appears to be over. There is still a lot of spider lightning and low clouds flying west while higher clouds are moving east. I hope everyone made it through the storms safely
