I’m also predicting SELA to experience tropical storm winds within 48 years.

Timeline is a little faster it would appear and it does keep moving, so that will tend alleviate devastating rainfall amounts, however there could still be flooding concerns in the normal trouble spots when we get substantial rainfall. LA landfall is also looking quite likely, which really hasn't changed that much since the start of the week, but we need a center first. If we get a western Atchafalaya Basin landfall, just starting a recurve trajectory, SE LA will probably get the worst this storm has to offer. I also believe that power outages could be a factor as well, as we are in the thick of the growing season, vegetation is thick and will catch most of the wind. We have to take these systems with a little caution and just be prepared.

I don't expect anything in the CAT1 realm, but a low/mid-end TS is very possible. Start your generators, gas up, etc.
