Showers and storms going up much quicker today. Record warm Gulf of Mexico is fueling higher CAPE/moisture content than I think models are initializing at. Just something to keep in mind moving forward in the summer convective season.

Northwestern Jefferson Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
Northwestern Plaquemines Parish in southeastern Louisiana...

* Until 1145 AM CDT.

* At 1105 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Jefferson,
or near Marrero, moving east at 10 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
