[H] HURRICANE FRANCINE - GULF OF MEXICO

Did a quick inspection of my yard and can't see any significant damage.
I'm in an area of Reserve that lost power. We lost power at 4:30 yesterday afternoon before the bad weather rolled in. Gonna do a walk around soon.
Eye wall was nasty. Water got up to the yard before receding.
I've taken my second eye wall in three years.

Wow!!! What a storm. We lost power here in Chackbay about 6:30 pm and it's still out. That eyewall sitting on top of us for a few hours was no joke. Especially from about 7pm til 8:30ish when the eye came over us. I have no idea how much rain we got in north Lafourche- anyone know? Water got up to the house, but not in. Has never done that before. Thankfully no house damage, just trees. Blessings to all that got water in your house and/or other damage.
Power tried to come back on about 7am, but it blew the small transformer in front of our house. But, got the generator running and in-laws have power on hwy 20, so feel blessed overall.

Still a very impressive circulation

Water is already out our home in Thibodaux. Only made it to study and laundry room from our carport that flooded and not entire house. Worried about mold though and husband filed a claim to be on safe side. We have flood insurance. My husband even went back to work this morning as his office in Schriever just south of us in Thibodaux somehow still had power. He didn’t have time to get generator going because of our flooding house. So me, my son and stepdaughter will just have to rough it today. My pool has of course a bunch of leaves in it but water is still blue because we ran pump and saltwater generator til we lost power. As soon as I get leaves out, we will be able to swim to cool off before it does turn green since of course no pump til power comes back on.

I noticed yesterday and last night in Baton Rouge that it never felt tropical. It was almost cool all day into the evening. We never got that heavy muggy feel here like you do with most tropical systems.

Good morning.  We made out okay with the storm in Harahan.  We had street flooding, lost power for about 6 hours and AT&T went down for a while, but we were prepared for just about anything.  

Also, I just want to say thanks to Zack for keeping us informed.  I was able to prepare and also help my family prepare thanks to his forecast.  Also, thanks to all the usual posters like Sky, Kory, NDG...etc., there are too many to name.
