With all the discussion about the low in the gulf and rains headed in our direction it seems someone would be commenting, but I haven’t seen anything other then a post from Zack on Facebook .
The Weather Channel was discussing Willa early this morning but they also said the storm is forecasted to die inland over Mexico but the moisture from the system will impact parts of Texas that don't need to receive anymore rain because of floods in many areas of the state last week. #WatchingTheTropics #HurricaneWilla
Thoughts on all this rain we are getting on Thursday? Something to be concerned about?
As of now, it shouldn't be anything that many areas can't handle in terms of total rainfall predictions.
However, if some of the heavier rainfall that is forecast to fall 50 or so miles off shore, slides North a bit...then were looking at the possibility of some areas to expirence some flooding. Rainfall prediction models currently keep the heaviest rains off shore, BUT 48hrs away from the "event" those models can't be fully trusted as to "where" those heavy rains will actually fall.
We'll just have to wait and see how this setup actually evolves in real time basically due to the issue of there's MANY different contributing factors as to where moisture will be pulled from with the remanents of Willia , low pressure system & a frontal boundry.
