One of the tornadoes we tracked here on GCWX yesterday during the tornado outbreak turns out to be an EF-4. This tornado struck the Lone Grove and Ardmore area in southern Oklahoma. The tornado killed 8 people. Zack and I had the pleasure of passing through this town last May when we chased.

EF 4 Tornado Kills 8 in Lone Grove
LONE GROVE, Oklahoma -- The search resumed Wednesday for victims of a deadly tornado in southern Oklahoma.
The half-mile wide tornado touched down about 7 p.m. Tuesday and tore a path 25 miles long from near the Red River up through Love and Carter counties. The hardest hit area was the town of Lone Grove, near Ardmore. The tornado has been rated as an EF4, which means devatsting damage.
Eight deaths have been confirmed and 14 people have been seriously injured in the twister, Carter County Emergency Manager Ed Reed said. Officials had abandoned their search early Wednesday morning because downed power lines and debris made it too dangerous.
First responders rescued at least two Lone Grove residents from storm shelters Wednesday morning.
Lana Hartman and her family got inside a closet to wait out the storm.
"I promise you, when the weather people say, 'There's a storm on the way' me and my children will be underground," Hartman said. "I don't care if it's three hours before the tornado, or if it never hits, we will be underground. I will never ride out a storm like this again."
The tornado made direct hit on mobile home park with approximately 60 trailers. Additional damages are currently being assessed, according to the state emergency management office.
