Reel in your anxieties. Quit worrying. We get higher winds in thunderstorms!!! Since we don't even have a hurricane in the gulf, why not get some rest? Just go to bed and quit worrying about what is not there. I'm going. G'nite.
I just compared position to 10pm stats and definitely more west jog right? Not much but more west than north that round.
I've been staring at the same loops for almost 12 hours so my eyes aren't really that great right now, but I see it too. If you put on the forecast points, it looks like the center is directly under the point moving WNW.
Just saw Damon singleton on WDSU saying winds near or above 50mph on thursday. Is that accurate? If so, airline might not operate. Looks like I'm driving to Nashville :-(
I'm up...looking at the satellite pics. Holy dry air batman! This thing can't shake it. As long as that continues, big strengthening will not occur. Track looks good...don't see that changing. All intensity guidance still brings it to a middling cat 1, but nothing stronger. NHC's forecast of going a little above that is just to cover themselves.
I'm now off to focus on what happens once it comes inland.
I'd like some input on potential safe areas to intercept in Louisiana if that's what it comes down to. The initial plan was to capture the surge in SW MS. I'd need a LA solution that would protect from surge AND inland flooding with zero doubts.....preferably a parking garage that isn't in New Orleans.

Where is all this dry air coming from? As soon as it looks like he's mixing some out, he gets nailed with it again.
