I'm posting from my phone: I have moderate damage, the third floor apt lost a good portion of its roof and now the water is leaking into my apt. Water coming in from the walls and wall sockets. My neighbor lost his glass doors and another building in my complex also lost its room. This is intense!
Sorry to hear that! Which one of your three locations is this happening at??
I've heard that light damage -- fences down, trees down, etc. -- in Luling, but no water as of yet.
Not to mention I've been watching shingles, metal, and other crap flying in the wind for hours now. People are going to be shocked by the damage.
Very true. I have seen it so many times, people think it's not much damage, because it is dark. When it is finally light, and they can get out, they are amazed.

A lot of people have roof damage. It may take weeks to get the grid in the metro area restored. You wouldn't believe the show the transformers blowing gave tonight, constantly lit up the sky.
Guys what's the word on how strong it will stay when it finally moves inland? Wondering how bad it will get in Lafayette...
So sorry all you guys are having such bad conditions....
It is forecasted to remain a hurricane for another 12 hrs, but hurricane force will mostly be found on the eastern quadrant close to the coast, the most I can see for Lafayette is tropical storm conditions nothing as bad as SE LA.
I,m in Houma. Has been blowing really hard the last couple of hours. Power is out, we have generator so still getting TV reports. I think the eye is about to come through. Starting to calm down a little. A lot worse than I thought it would be.
