Today marks 35 years since Hurricane Frederic struck the coast, hitting Dauphin Island and near the Mississippi/Alabama border. Anyone who was here during that (I was a very very little guy at the time) will still tell you about it and it's still holds the title for most people here as Mobile's "signature storm".
