Getting nice snow photos from my sister in Albuquerque this AM. They may get several more inches thru tonight. Hard to tell how much as it has been drifting... I'd day around 4 inches for her house area.
This is a good snow for them....and it's October so might be a record
My friend that owns a condo on Ski Mountain said the snow just started sticking about 2 hours ago. Her elevation is just above Ober. From the deck, you're looking straight across to Ober's highest slopes.
45 degrees in Sevierville right now, but snowing in the higher elevations of the Smokeys. As of this morning, Leconte had 10" on the ground still.
One of my more magical childhood memories was when I was 6. We lived in SOCAL..... We took a drive up to Big Bear.... I was so amazed that we could drive from the 60's into snow in such a short period of time. Of course we insisted on getting out of the car to play before we got all the way up!

I used to live in Sacramento in 2018. Was just checking the weather there on my climacell app. Seems it has been raining like crazy over there. Winters were always rainy, but this year seems to be a bit too much. Or was I luckier when I was there?
