The high pressure system is currently centered around east Nebraska, west Iowa. Looking at some of the barometric pressure readings from home stations. Most around 31.15, 31.22, etc. A couple of outliers, 31.72 and 30.02, but overall, an average of 31.10 to 31.25 inches. wxug.us/1mkib

I remember during the President's Day Storm in 2003, I was in the mountains of WV and we had nonstop whiteout conditions for two days. At the end of it, we had over 40" of snow, and I had to help our neighbors dig out their cars that were completely submerged. It was easily the most surreal experience of my life.

Another interesting aspect for tomorrow. WWE's Monday Night Raw show is happening LIVE from Hartford, CT.... or the green dot on this map below... will be interesting to see if it still happens as it's extremely rare for it to be cancelled... in fact I'm not sure it ever has been cancelled.

For those of you that did not see this picture I posted on Facebook of frozen Lake Erie as I was about to land in Buffalo yesterday. Is like a tundra over here. The cold and snow gets old very quick, at least for me.

Up to a foot of snow predicted for me late tonight/tomorrow/tomorrow night with this bowling ball storm up in NW Ohio where I'm working rights of way acquisition for a pipeline. Local media already hyping it as the Super Bowl Blizzard.
A very large swath of snow today across the upper midwest into the northeast. I am sure we could take a couple inches of their snow and they would not even miss it.

I could spare a couple inches. 32F and light snow right now in Findlay, OH, 40 miles south of Toledo on I-75. So far pasted with 2 inches of wet snow on top of 2 inch existing snow pack. Heaviest snow should come this evening and tonight as the low passes on east of us. May have to sweat a switch over to wintry mix soon. Right now in something of a small dry slot but snow hasn't stopped, just slacked off. -2F is predicted temperature for Tuesday morning with more snow Wednesday. Making duck and smoked pheasant gumbo in my kitchen in Towne Place Suites today for landman crew Super Bowl bash later.
