I still have one of those, and still use it!! It's getting to the point where the tuning isn't as good, but I can still pick up some signals if I point the antenna in the right direction. :-)

Bringing this up from the deep. My cheapie weather radio seems to have died due to battery discharge, and it refuses to recharge. What's the current solution for weather radios these days? If 'there's an app for that', that'll work, too, but would like some way of getting the NOAA weather and alerts should our power be out. Thanks.

I still have that old, white Midland unit. Seems to work fine and I believe it's still for sale. But, yes, there are also a few apps and most are free.
