* At 957 AM CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Fields to near Starks to near Smith Point,
moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Beaumont, Lake Charles, Port Arthur, Orange, Nederland, Groves,
Port Neches, Lumberton, Vidor, Bridge City, Silsbee, West Orange,
Vinton, Sour Lake, Nome, Starks, Central Gardens, Hamshire, Evadale
and Sabine Pass.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado, go at once into a
small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread
significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately
likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of
