OH WOW...that is pretty significant. I'm not starting to have a few problems with mine. I've noticed the day time temperatures have been much higher than what they should be. I need to get around to it and see if the fan stopped working.

I've never had any luck at all with Accurite stations. I've gone through 4 of them over the years with each of them eventually just stopping on me. I'm about to pay off lots of debt and will be purchasing the best Davis station I can find. That one better last me 10 years lol!
I purchased an Acurite 5 in 1 with a separate lightning detector a few months ago for our marina. I THOUGHT I read that I would be able to access the data from my phone. That was my whole reason for buying it. I wanted all of our marina neighbors to be able to access it when away from their boats. I contacted acurite and they said I’d have to purchase some separate hub thing for over $100 to be able to access the data remotely.
Soooo....now I’m looking to buy a different unit that can do it without having to purchase additional components. Does the Atlas have that capability? Any other suggestions? I don’t have to stay with acurite. I’m going to set the 5 in 1 up at the house.
Thanks!

Negative, even with the Atlas you need the hub. I cannot think of any station offhand that you do not need to purchase an extra piece for online use. Even Davis requires it.

Seems my Atlas has lost communication with the monitor again. The signal strength is only showing one bar, and when I go to the Sensor section, it states that there's a good battery supply, and last update was less than 10 minutes ago. I just saw an alert on the upper right corner of the display that the signal was lost.
Not sure what's up with the thing. Hopefully there's not a new unit in my future.

I finally waded out (seriously) to the far end of the back yard to fetch my Atlas sensor in so I can maybe reset it and get it communicating with the display again. I first refreshed the batteries. Waited..... nothing.
So, decided to do the 'hard reset' thing. Pulled the batteries from the sensor, unplugged the display. Waited a couple of minutes, plugged the batteries into the sensor. The little red light flashed. I then plugged the display in, and...... the display does not come on. :-/ I unplug and plug it in again. Nothing. I unplug the power supply from my power strip. Still nothing. So it looks like now, at least, the display is hosed.
I think I'm about done with this thing.

That sucks. I haven't had mine online in a few months since I've moved out of my house. I do need to go back and grab it though. Hopefully I can get it back up and running.

I'm eyeballing a Davis Vantage Vue now. Haven't pulled the trigger yet, but thinking seriously about it.
The old Atlas and monitor, should anyone want either, can be available for the price of shipping. At this point, I don't know if the sensor is dead yet, or not, but it sure looks like the monitor is.
I also have a spare lightening sensor for the Atlas. If someone has an Atlas sensor w/o that, this is a plug and play thing. Again, available for cost of shipping.

My bride got me the Davis Vantage Pro2 wireless for Christmas. She missed getting the mounting pole, so we ordered that, and got it in earler this week. It went into service last night!
As noted above, if anyone wants my old Acurite stuff, including the lightning detector module, let me know, and it's yours for the price of shipping.

Hello - Do you still have any of the Acurite equipment you'd like to part with?

Sadly, no. We had a big electronics recycling purge a couple of months ago, and all that went then. Sorry.
New here but I am going on year 2 with my Atlas. Over the 2 years.... at 11 months, the HD display went bad but AcuRite sent a new one quickly. I have a few moments every few weeks where it loses internet connectivity for a few hours and my only other issue has been the rain gauge. It locks up for days at what ever the last rain storm was. No rain now for 5 days and it is stuck at .61
One crazy thunderstorm reported 136 lightening strikes but so did most tv news stations so it did work well. I have a 66’ crank up radio tower and nested it sits 35 feet to the mast. The HD display is really crystal clear, sharp contrast and bright. So far, so good.

I still have my console for the Atlas so I'll probably just order a replacement sensor unit for it. I left my old one at the house I sold. I'm sure they'd let me get it, but it's just been sitting there for over a year with zero maintenance.
