Remember the talk about the new GFS being crap?

Time to pull the plug: New GFS model blows up with physically impossible temperatures of 126°F, more like Death Valley everywhere in Texas. Meteorologists probably shouldn't rely much on this model until the land surface scheme is fixed.

Is that "Future GFS" and not the GFS we're looking at for Alberto??

I haven't even looked at the future GFS lately. The graphics we've been posting is from the current operational GFS.

I mean, you don’t know. Maybe it WILL get to 126 degrees in every city in Texas. LOL

I really wish the NWS would prioritize Tropical Storm Watch color over flash flood watch on their graphics. With the topography of south Louisiana we all know the kind of flooding we get is not the same as areas of the country with terrain.

I definitely think the tropical watch is more important.
