So from those rainfall total estimates which have been posted which computer model is the most reliable? Unless I'm reading those maps wrong it looks like I might receive some weather here in Biloxi from whatever should develop and enter the gulf.

Because it never gets that far out, in the gulf, it can never really get its act together. In the overall scheme of things, this wouldn't be a bad solution.

But if I'm reading those rain total maps that Harahan Tim posted it looks like those totals are over a 7 day period.... So hopefully it can be absorbed? It has been pretty dry lately as we've been watering yard like crazy.

Plus for those areas with pumps (like NOLA and JP, etc.) rainfall spread over multiple days wouldn't overwhelm pumps all at once.

Do any maps show rainfall in shorter time durations?

ATT I think the old GFS legacy has more realistic run than the new GFS on 92. Would also be surprised if this make hurricane status, however not much difference between strong TS vs a minimal hurricane.. at least we have something in the back yard to watch! Early preseason game on for the NGOM!

That unfortunately appears to be getting more and more possible. Location is still uncertain but it looks like somewhere in Louisiana is going to get absolutely clobbered by rainfall.
