Someone on here mentioned yesterday that Delta will be an odd storm (for some reason) in that the weaker it is the more north it will go, which would make landfall more east.
The stronger it gets, the further west it'll go.   I wanna say that was Sky or Zach. 

...and cones of possibility aren’t static...I’d echo Rowbear. Just because you’re out of the cone now doesn’t guarantee that you’ll stay out of it.

WWL is so far behind he may have been reading “breaking news” from when Sally shifted east. That channel has gone down in the last 20 years.

I said it a few days ago, that trough in Texas is more like a cutoff low. It's not your typical sweeping October cold front. It's just a weak split in the ridge hence why the ridge winning out has led to the west shift.

Now I don't think 48 hours out the models would bust to the point a storm goes into Texas but most history tells us for some reason northern Gulf Coast storms trend slightly east at the last second. I could be way wrong though. The difference between Vermilion Parish and St. Mary Parish isn't much but it's a lot in terms of impacts for SE LA.
