Where is everyone coming off with; “NOLA and west are safe again“...etc.? From ONE model run? We are losing our minds now!

Come on folks. Two consensus model runs in a row; ok, then we could say a TREND is occurring. But to out and out make statements about anywhere being safe, clear, out of the woods...etc., from ONE model run is very careless. JMO!

Yeah. Slowly year after year that 4 and 5 days are getting even more amazing. For this relatively tight cluster says “close”. That has many different ramifications for each individual. For me it means full prep mode. I mean NHC forecasting a hurricane Friday with SE LA in the cross hairs. When all is said and done, we could very well be nowcasting as the classic Mississippi turn
happens. But this luck will end. My hope is that by Tuesday evening or Wednesday AM latest, NHC has worked their magic and we’ll know who breathes and who awaits.

I agree again lol! It’s been a tough year and we as humans are what we are. Recent history has shown the Mouth of the River and MGC connection time and time again. Even when forecast to have significant weather in SE LA , the W side fails to materialize. Another minimal hurricane following the same frequent path has people in SE LA skeptical. Can you really blame them?
It WILL end sooner than later. It’s way past time. Katrina was impactful but ultimately a sad, criminal imo, man made / known disaster. Not for Mississippi and E overall. For me, this one has my complete attention. I don’t like it. Weird also Breck shows up downplaying it. 75 mph direct Grand Isle to NOLA connection and people will be saying “ what the hell just happened”? Power will be out for way longer than you think.

I have a strong feeling the SELA shield will drop down and protect Lafayette thru NOLA once again. October, though occasionally a Louisiana month, will ultimately send this thing into Florida. I’m not even worried this time.

Zack...you are the professional. And your statements should/needs to resinate with everyone in this forum. Many here have been posters for a long time and have witnessed many varied surprises, as far as tropical systems go. So hopefully, posters will not get caught up in a SINGULAR model run, like many do on other forums. Stay the course, folks!
