HURRICANE DELTA Discussion Thread

My liver needs December to hurry the hell up. Just sayin.

Going to be a wait and see for the next few days but I think so many are prepared from the few scares we've had in southeast Louisiana. Hopefully this won't be our problem but I can't help but think that those to our west and to our east have had all they can take for one season. No one wants it and dang sure doesn't need it. I'm not excited about it yet but if we're still in the cross hairs come in the next couple of days I may get nervous.

Didn’t read many pages back so I apologize if this was recently discussed. What kind of timing for landfall, where ever that might be? Is this suppose to move into the gulf soon and develop quickly? I don’t even know if this Gamma or Delta...

I’m just curious how most all the models are on the same track. That rarely happens. Right? We are still so far out?! What does this mean?

I see the same. I guess a fantastic model grasp this far out or some level of bust will happen. I tell ya, they are getting better even in the 4-5 day range with the right storm and conditions. 
Should absolutely have anybody in SE LA at full attention.

Perhaps steering conditions are stronger and less complex for this one?

Would luv to kid but can’t here. I think part of the problem this year is we feel so little control over anything. My wife is a nurse. We had a few long talks this weekend about how we are really
noticing family, friends and a bit of ourselves just starting to really wear down. I tried to discuss this upcoming week in weather and for the first time ever she just said I don’t want to hear it. I just got over my three hour “in the cone” meltdown. Thankfully we are no flood, whole house NG generator, and water system. Fully stocked. Roll down shutters. And I still don’t feel totally comfortable this year. We have all been through so much....no matter who you are. It’ll get better....it will eventually.
