I think some have unrealistic expectations of forecasting. To me this has been a somewhat easier storm to track as the NHC guidance has been very tight since it entered the gulf

Meanwhile, a few notable things mentioned in this thread ... there was a lot of rain in the Comite/Amite basin last night. The river stage revisions are above flood stage. It is not a good start for those areas. Training rain storms can cause significant problems in and around those areas. The Amite is already projected to have its highest crest since 2016 (and don't panic, it isn't even close to that) ...

I don’t know that you can call 93.78 to 93.76 evidence of “the turn”. Easily a wobble or measurement error. Possibly the turn but we need to see a little more consistency in the change of longitude

Could be it is trying to start that NE movement. This Center Fix Coordinates: 27.59N 93.76W and last was 27.39N 93.78W.
