Wow. *wine I took a personal day off of work - have to use them before end of the year, so I decided to use a day today to watch and monitor the storm without guilt and treat myself to a 4 day weekend. I think it's time to break out the bottle of top shelf tequila I've been saving for SOMETHING!

Can’t believe you don’t have one. Look into the Davis brand. The Vue is the all in one version and cheaper but the Vantage Pro II is their Cadillac. It becomes part of your daily life observations almost like family lol. My neighbor 2 houses down is getting the Vantage console and will receive my instrument transmissions also. Pretty cool.

There are no right or wrongs this season. Just persistent insanity. Didn’t think I’d be seeing this much wind either. Sustained about 12mph and just hit 30 now.

Cannot say enough good things about my Davis. Just remember anemometer installation can be challenging and difficult to place for accuracy in the urban environment. Also, any brand weather station rain collector needs frequent cleaning. Debris, leaves and even pollen build up can decrease function.

I mean, if the professionals are predicting that to happen, I can’t really argue against it with any specific piece of data other than my own personal past experiences with close calls from this far to the west. I just don’t see me getting60mph gusts in my area of Ascension Parish unless it unexpectedly goes closer to Lafayette.

We shall see how it plays out. I kinda hope to get at least SOME action here in my area.
