Zack, do you see in NHC upgrading Delta to a Hurricane tomorrow, instead of Wednesday? 

I can't wait for Hurricane season 2020 to be over.

Delta is moving almost straight west.

GFS seems to be the only bomb going off at this time. I guess that’s good but my trust in the GFS is a lot more than the EURO. Why be concerned?

The EURO is always west GFS is always east. It’s October, a trend east can always be expected.

I’d rather be the bullseye right now, I don’t want that track to shift just west of us. That’s NOT GOOD.

My 2020 storm bullet list from St. Mary Parish:

Laura - Remained at home on the eastern edge of storm with TS force winds and loss of power for about a day.

Sally - my kids evacuated to my house from SELA while I was in Texas. I missed this chaos with 6 adults, 2 children with 5 dogs and a cat. It still looked like a storm hit my living room!

BETA - I missed opportunity to come home from Galveston Bay and watched the storm surge and winds destroy most of the wharves in my line of vision.

Delta - I have no idea how I feel about this one except it is likely to be significant to the Central and Eastern coast of LA.

I know some might not take it seriously because of shifts in track for previous storms but I know that each storm is different, causing hardship wherever it finally makes landfall.

I can't remember a hurricane season where I've been in the cone 3-5 days out for almost the entire "gulf coast" season. This one, Delta, is mentally challenging as of today. No matter what I know or don't know, prepared for, invested in for potential life changing plans; I still finish a storm somewhat surprised by it.

As advised, I listen to the NHC for official updates. For knowledge, education, wisdom and community of like-minded weather worn and weary neighbors, I come here. Stormcast helps me keep my brain logical. It gives me enough information to make informed decisions and share the behind the scenes "what if" with my family and friends.
