After laying quiet for 9 days, harmonic tremors are being detected again indicating the magma is rising in the volcano again. See a live feed showing the graph below. Note: the feed of water flowing is from a glacial outburst event taking place elsewhere in Iceland...different volcanic system.
Here is a still image of the harmonic tremors over time. The quick spike seen on Sept 8th was from a partial crater wall collapse at the surface.

Fascinating.
So the eruption has resumed....but with the 9 days of cooling and hardening of lava, it appears the easiest path to the surface is not the higher crater lip, but multiple other locations as seen by the many small geysers of lava in the video.

After the eruption stopped a few months ago, a new d-i-k-e intrusion is taking place as per the local earthquake swarms.....it follows the pattern before the initial eruption.
Earthquakes have died down a bit which happened a few weeks before the initial eruption.
The anticipated new eruption site will be in the general vicinity of the original one, but we won't know where until it happens.
If it happens on the coastal side of the mountains, we might see lava flows that cross the local road and reach the ocean.
They are anticipating a smaller amount of lava overall compared to the initial eruotion.
PS...I had to space out d-i-k-e because this site won't allow me to use that word....apparently the slang use is more important than the actual word meaning.
