TROPICAL STORM CLAUDETTE Discussion Thread

Actually, I believe that was the 00zGFS.  The 0Z EURO, has a hard time getting too much going with it, and the center kind of dissipates over the central Texas coast, with the moisture coming to Louisiana, but not in bucket amounts.

The 06Z GFS, is one of those runs that could literally trigger PTSD for plenty of folks, is SW and South Central Louisiana. The storm, instead of moving inland Friday or Saturday, gets hung up in the NW Gulf. Doesn't move inland until Monday. The sliver of good news, it is hung up offshore, just far enough to keep it from being catastrophic, but it would be a close call. Not a good setup, at all.

 This setup begins Thursday evening, and runs  until midnight, Tuesday night.

Yep, just like the run that Zack posted, showing a potential 40 inches....repeat after me...Just One Run....Just One Run....Just One Run..............

All 00Z EURO runs the past few days have been weaker, 12Z stronger.

GFS is sloowwwww. There is nothing good that comes out of a slow moving early season storm.

You want a model of consistency, the Canadian has been set for days now.
