Fred is battling some dry air to the west and about 20kts of westerly wind shear this morning.

If there's anything left after the land masses, a center reformation will mean everything to his final outcome and could have track implications. Shelby did a very good job this morning on FOX 8 explaining this. She also mentioned how much better the environment would be if Fred ended up just slightly west. He would then be tracking directly over the warmest waters of the Gulf and likely would reach hurricane strength, and possibly rapidly intensify. NOTHING is showing this scenario right now though.
